This is Madam Gold, a Nigerian. She is 32. She has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment by the Tarkwa Circuit Court for spearheading prostitution.

Gold is said to have trafficked four young women from Nigeria to Ghana to engage in prostitution.

According to reports, she forcibly shaved the trafficked women’s public hair, removed their fingernails, and made them swear an oath that if they failed to work as commercial sex workers to repay the money she claimed to have spent on them, they would go mad.

Operating her business at Asankra-Moseaso, one of the women is reported to have contracted HIV/AIDS but she moved her to a different location to continue the work fearing she would not be patronised.
Madam Gold is also said to have forced the girls to drink concoctions to abort pregnancies. Are foreigners gradually topping the crime chart in Ghana? [via: Crime Check TV GH]
